Mandalay films - Blue Smoke - Last action scene

This is the last constructed set for the final scene with corresponding story boards and 3D renderings.




Here, my work as a storyboard artist and set designer crossed as there was a need for the visualization of the set.

I sometimes use 3D software for set design and in this case I modeled the set in 3D (before construction) putting the camera in the desired spots in order to get a sense of how the set should look for the feel that the director was looking for. After the tweaking of measurements of the set and where the camera placements were going to be, we came up with the detailed construction plan of the set. This is not typical of my duties but in this case I was a set designer / storyboard artist for this final scene.
